Richard And Mary Carpenter Photos Online

I just wanted to share with fans a couple of very nice photographs that I recently found online of Richard and his wife Mary. The first is from Richard's official website.

The second is from the Ventura County Star in Thousand Oaks California. Richard and Mary Carpenter live in Thousand Oaks today, and were named Ventura County's Philanthropists of 2007. Richard is also involved with his annual scholarship competition, at the local Civic Arts Plaza. Click on each photo to enlarge them.

Never Before Seen Carpenters Radio Visit Picture From 1977!

"Exclusive Blast From The Past" - I personally have never seen this picture before, so seeing this is a real treat. This picture is from WPRO Radio in Providence R.I. The picture includes: Richard, Karen, WPRO Rado Program Director Gary Berkowitz, and A&M Records Rep Barry Korkin. The picture was taken around 1977. Vintage 1977 Carpenters Postcard For Sale

A rare 1977 postcard for the Carpenters appearance at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe has been listed for sale on eBay. The postcard reads "Carpenters - Musical Director Dick Palombi - Norm Crosby - Brian Farnon Orchestra - Thru August 15, 1977 - Harrah's - South Shore Room - Lake Tahoe." Carpenters Encounter Rescheduled For 2009

Just as a reminder to fans, a couple of months ago, Joe Petrella of the Carpenters Encounter Planning Committee, made a post on the leadsister.com forum, to let fans know that the Carpenters Encounter gathering in Downey, CA has been rescheduled for the summer of 2009.
